The history of The Black Pearl
Turning this negative moment into positivity and inspiration, he saw this as an opportunity to re-invest locally. Visiting Reykjavik, he found his very own pearl of fortune when he fell for this black, contemporary, glass rich building that was to become The Black Pearl.
When the plans for the apartment hotel were being developed, he had one primary goal in mind: to become the best hotel in Iceland in terms of service and appearance.
Starting off with just ten luxury suites, Mr Hol carried on developing The Black Pearl to now including a reception area, a multifunctional space for special occasions like events and meetings and 22 fully serviced suites between 60 and 180 m2 with one to three separate bedrooms.
