Christmas in Iceland – what to do in Reykjavik?

There are many things to love about spending Christmas in Reykjavik. How about visiting Christmas markets, attending a Christmas concert at Harpa or some of Iceland’s most beloved musicians?

And if the wheather conditions are favorable Ice skating is possible on Reykjavik City Pond, Tjornin. There’s also an ice skating rink in the city center on Ingolfstorg square – close to the hotel and festive Christmas market.

If you are staying in Reykjavik during Christmas, walk the downtown streets and admire the decorations. But also look for The Yule Lads projected on the walls in down town area. You can get beautiful views of Reykjavik from the top of Hallgrimskirkja church’s tower. And of course, do not forget to do some Christmas shopping and taste the special Christmas food and drinks!
