Northern Lights in Iceland

Northern Lights in Iceland – When to see in Iceland?

The best period to view the beautifull display in the sky is between September and April. During this period the nights are dark enough to see the polar lights and enjoy the Northern Lights at its most colourfull. During midwinter the wheather in Iceland can be stormy and therefore we recommend the months of september and october as the best months to view for the Northern Lights

The Northern Lights can be seen all over Iceland, but the darker the surroundings the better the view of the Aurora is.
